Install day goes a lot smoother when homeowners know what to expect. Here are five things that make the difference.
1. Timing
We typically arrive between 8 and 10am. Depending on your home's size and complexity, installation takes anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. You don't need to be home the whole time, but someone should be available at the start and end.
2. We protect your roofline
We use low-profile clips that attach to your gutters or shingles without drilling or causing damage. We've done hundreds of installs — we know what causes damage and we avoid it. If anything doesn't look right after we're done, we fix it before we leave.
3. Pick your look before we arrive
Decide ahead of time whether you want warm white, cool white, or multicolor. If you're going permanent, think about which zones you want lit. The more specific you can be, the faster we can work.
4. Clear access around the house
If you have gates, locked side yards, or anything that might block access to the roofline, have those open before we arrive. We bring our own ladders and equipment — we just need clear paths.
5. The final walkthrough
Before we leave, we walk the property with you and turn everything on. That's your chance to ask for any adjustments. We'd rather fix something on the spot than schedule a return visit.
